A sound mind in a sound body encompasses the mission that guides Asics. It's a state of being that we all aspire to. In 1949, Kihachiro Onitsuka founded the company as a way to help the people of Japan recover from the second world war. He believed that sports had a way of lifting people's spirits, especially during tough times, which is as true now as it was then. For Asics, it's not just about the performance of the product, but about the experience they help to create, and our journey to find balance, inside and out.
