Babolat adds another chapter to one of the game's most iconic racquets

Due back in stock Mid Jan 2023. Pre Order the new Pure Aero at a special price.

With its "best of class" combination of speed, spin and power, the Pure Aero is one of the most popular and versatile racquets ever made. At 11.2 ounces/317.5 grams strung and boasting a zippy sub-325 swingweight, this stick delivers easy acceleration from the baseline and quick handling at net. It also possesses the kind of spin-friendly precision and raw power that is dangerous in the hands of aggressive players. For 2022, in addition to a more arm-friendly flex point, Babolat adds comfort with NF² Technology, which uses flax inserts in the handle and upper hoop to soften ball impact. Babolat also updates its FSI Spin technology with slightly tighter string spacing. The result is greater control (and confidence) when maximising stroke speed in the service of power and spin. Intermediate and advanced players looking for a speedy spin-monster with surgical targeting will love this update.

Comments: I own over 10 racquets and there's something amazing about this model. I also have the 2016 Aero Pro and think it's a huge upgrade.

Comments: I usually don't submit reviews but I am experiencing extreme improvement since purchasing my Pure Aero 2023. Sad to say I haven't upgraded since feeling comfortable with my Maria Sharapova endorsed Prince O... yep... that's an old racquet but it worked. I thought my talent decline, though, was due to being in my mid 50s. For purposes of helping other buyers choose I want to say that I was advised by several of my club Pros and team members not to pursue the Babolat rackets because of their tendency to affect one's elbow. As one who was fighting elbow and shoulder pain in 2022, I can tell you this racquet eliminated all of that. Strung to 56 lbs with a hybrid string formation, I am a beast at the Baseline again with incredible top spin. And for those that read this racquet will reduce effective net play, I beg to differ. I was already a very good net player and this racket has improved that element of my game. In other words if you are wondering what new weapon to put in your bag, I highly recommend this Pure Aero 2023. Getting it from Tennis Only efficiently and at a great price was just an added bonus. - Vinn

Comments: I've resisted switching from a control racquet (Blade, VCore, Prestige, etc) but I finally gave this one a serious try and I feel like I'm cheating on the court. I can hit any shot including stretch volleys and backhand overheads. This version Aero seems to be a bit more precise than others I have tried, but all the spin you could ever need is still there. I do have very good technique so no arm issues, but i see how you could get lazy and flick the racquet instead of properly swinging which might cause problems. Some say it is a two handed BH racquet; not so I say. My one hander is solid as ever; good technique is all you need and this racquet will reward you. It is truly a modern game racquet and if you want to hit like the Rune's and Alcaraz you need their sticks to do it. The 98 looks interesting but I'm not even going to try it I'm so pleased with the 100. If you can't beat em, join em.

Comments: I had been out of the game for 30 years and just back into playing. Having no knowledge of the current tech, I found the Pure Aero a pure delight and got me excited to get back into the game. I strung mine with the Babolat RPM Hurricane at 55 and the accuracy is near spot on. This racquet makes it a lot easier.

Comments: I have purchased the Babolat Pure Aero 2023 and the Head Extreme MP 2022. Although, both racquets have identical specification for the exception of the RA (Pure Aero 65, Extreme 66), the Pure Aero feels much more aero dynamic (cuts easier through the air) and thus plays easier and quicker than the Extreme especially as the match plays on longer. Was concerned with the Pure Aero's impact on my wrist and shoulder as Babolat's are known to be stiff, but it is not the case with this latest version of the Pure Aero. The Head Extreme MP 2022 is an excellent racquet, but I like the Pute Aero More. Both racquets are strung with the Solinco Hyper-G Soft 17 gauge at 52 lbs in the Pure Aero and at 53 lbs in the Extreme.

Comments: Long time Pure Aero (Aero Pro) user. This is the fourth generation of this line of racquets I've played with. Compared to the 2019 model, the 2023 frame has a tad less power and spin but makes up for it with more control and more solid ball strikes when swinging fast and hard. I also find that backhand slices come off the string bed solidly and with more depth. Anyone making the switch from an older version should give this new frame a couple of weeks of play before making a decision on it. An advanced ball striker will appreciate the changes, especially with the tighter string bed. Serves about the same as the previous model. An intermediate player may be content with the older frame. My current favorite and arm friendly poly setup is with Solinco Hyper-G Soft 18g at 52 lbs (I restring every 2 weeks). Long time 4.0 player.

Comments: I hope the stiffness doesn't continue to drop, it's a big part of what makes this racquet special.

Comments: This racket is really unmatched when it come to control and spin. It fits my playing style perfectly. I paired it with Hyper G Soft at 48lbs and the feel and ball pocketing feels like I can direct the ball in any direction while imparting a tremendous amount of spin diving into the court. The power is there but might have to swing harder but that's what I love about it. It gives you some help on not over hitting out of the back of the court. This racket thrives on volleys, big heavy spiny forehands, and huge overhead smashes. If you are a high octane player and athletic this racket will match your energy but on the other hand I feel this racket can be given to any player and it can be a starter racket or a pro racket it just fits all the categories. It just keeps getting better.

Comments: This is my 2nd racket purchase (playing 2 yrs recreation league & clinics). It's an upgrade over Wilson Clash. I like having a bit more weight. It is great construction & beautiful design. When using the proper grip, my top spin has improved using the Babolat Pure Aero 2023. So glad I got it. It has been big aid for my volley game and serve. I would give higher grade once it I have more time playing with it. Nothing is perfect like every tennis match at my level.
