Overview
Comfort! Touch! Power! Dressed in black, this special edition of Xcel plays firmer than the original version, but it still manages to offer excellent comfort, power and touch. Thanks to a new construction phase that uses a slightly firmer binding process, this version of Xcel has above average durability for a multifilament. It also has impressive tension maintenance. All in all, this is a great option for comfort seekers who want a little extra control and durability.

Comments: I have used this string since Babolat sent me a free sample many years ago. It has good power and feel, and I would not -and have not - use any other string.

Comments: I generally play with a full bed of polyester and tried this in a hybrid with Head Hawk Touch in the Pure Aero Tour. I have to say, it is a very muted and comfortable feeling string. Although due to the muted feel, I felt pretty distant on my slices and dropshots, but the Pure Aero series isn't designed for feel to begin with. Not necessarily very powerful as many multifilament tend to be, but it is pretty elastic feeling. The ball pocketing was pretty excellent and tension maintenance wasn't an issue. Unfortunately, due to the spin nature of my shots, Xcel 16 didn't last very long in my racquet. This is as expected as it is a softer string, but three hours definitely isn't enough for me to purchase this string again. Overall, very nice comfort and if you don't break strings, then I would highly recommend this.

Comments: I use this string in the crosses with RPM Blast in the mains. I find it to be an excellent combination with great power and comfort.

Comments: My sister who doesn't hit it really hard, she hits it with ALOT of topspin, inabout three weeks frayed it so much that if I hit it as hard as I could I would probablypop the string. So basically it frays easily.

Comments: I have been trying to find the perfect string for my game and I am happy to say that this might be it! I used it on my BLX and fell in love with the playability, response and feel of the string right away. Shots were crisp, loads of spin when needed and very easy on the arm! My only gripe is that they started fraying after about 8 outings. But still much better compared to other multifilaments I have used. All in all, a great string. Plus the black color is sexy! Got a lot of compliments on it.
