Overview

Introducing Head Lynx Tour! As a co-polyester monofilament this string will give you the control to attack the ball with your most powerful strokes. Designed with softening agents, Lynx Tour has a above average comfort and feel for a poly-based monofilament. In addition to being great for the experienced player who wants an arm-friendly monofilament, Lynx Tour is also a great "starter poly" for those new to polyester universe. Players looking for extra spin will appreciate the bite they get from this string's shaped profile. Intermediate and advanced players looking for predictable results on their most powerful strokes will love this one.

Comments: Agree with what Leon said below. First 30 minutes to an hour, stiff, and not much in the way of feel. But, after that, really nice string for control, the feel and touch improved immensely. Felt really nice in terms of touch, pocketing, and control. The edges do grip the ball and you can feel that, but spin is not hugely beyond other shaped strings or round strings because I'm a somewhat flat hitter. Really enjoyed this string and it's in my regular rotation. Strung at 52 and 50 pounds.

Comments: Feels stiff in the first 30 minutes of hitting; after that, it is heaven. Good control and I like the crisp feeling, not as muted as other polyester strings..

Comments: I usually use Tecnifibre Black Code 4S 17 gauge and Tecnifibre Multifeel in a hybrid. I compare this Lynx Tour to other control-oriented strings such as Solinco Tour Bite, Solinco Confidential, Volkl Cyclone, and RPM Blast in terms of feel I find that this was slightly softer than Solinco Confidential, but not as stiff as Solinco Hyper-G. I've been using it in my Yonex EZONE DR 98 for almost a week so I'm gonna keep on playing with the Lynx Tour for about another week then I'll cut it out after the second week. Overall an awesome string from Head!

Comments: I usually use either RPM Blast or the Blast VS Gut hybrid. My racquet is the new Pure Strike Tour string at 54 pounds. My play level is a former national level junior, university player but took many years off the game and am just now getting into competitive tennis again. I found the Lynx Tour very stiff for the first few hours, so much so that I debating cutting them out. Much stiffer feeling than RPM Blast regular or rough. But after about two hours of total hitting the strings seemed to find that perfect equilibrium of power and control, I absolutely loved the string for about the next 15 hours of hitting. I rotated three frames for a few weeks and now all sets have gone loose and dead, so time to change them out. I have two frames being strung with Lynx Tour on the mains and Babolat Addiction on the crosses which I am looking forward to trying. Overall I will use up my sets of Lynx Tour and then decide if I will make it my go-to string. Worth a try, and I got great spin and control. I was really able to hit out off both sides. Not a lot of touch at the net compared to RPM Blast, but good punch on volleys.
