Overview

Luxilon adds a rough texture to their Element co-poly string! The result is some added bite and extra spin-potential. This string also features Multi-Mono Technology , making it one of the most comfortable Luxilon monofilaments. All in all, Element Rough is a great option for players who like attacking the ball with long, fast strokes.  Dare we say that it is the missing element to your game?

Comments: Very nice string. Element is probably the best all-around string for those who are looking for something right in between a multifilament and a co-poly.

Comments: This is a soft poly. If you are a hard hitter, it will notch very fast, but will remain consistent for a while and it will hang tough and last a little longer than most polys ever after a significant notching. The string does not have any special characteristic for me other than being good all around, soft and durable. But it is not a spin monster nor does it have any special "feel" to it, not crisp, not mushy, something in between. True to all Lux strings, this one will harden and loose resilience before breaking and you will see the strings not snapping back into position. If you are not a frequent string breaker, beware because you will likely end up playing it way past the point where it needs to be cut out and before it hurts your arm.

Comments: Have been playing this string for 6 months, averaging two matches and one or two drills/practice sessions a week with it. I have two Prince Textreme 100P Midplus racquets and swap between them on each changeover. I have to string the racquets about every two months. This string is superior to the hybrid setup I used for five years prior to Element. I wanted something that felt better and knew there had to be something out there. Tried Element 16 on the whole racquet and loved it instantly. Bite, feel, and crisp all the way -- until they stretch too far. You feel it. Balls start to go long and/or volleys and serves lost all sense of connection and control. You can sense when these go bad, which I now like about them. It's like they have a built in self timer. Once they are past optimal, you feel it. I'm sticking with these for a while

Comments: Hope Lux keeps making Element forever. It's the right level of soft and grippy. The response is consistent. It works well in a hybrid or full set. One particularly good combo is a full set in the Wilson FST 95 racquet with mains at 53 Ibs and crosses at 51 Ibs. I do wish the price was a little lower.

Comments: This is an okay string. Comfort and spin are there but there are better options for the price. If you can afford to change your strings every 2-3 hours go for this string.
