Not living up to the hypeI was excited to get my hooves into a pair of these but was disappointed pretty quickly. The sole is about as thick as a new pair of jandals/thongs under the forefoot and it's led to a lot of painful stabs on small rocks and roots. They are also de-laminating around the upper after 90km. Don't understand the hype these get.
Goes the distanceFirstly, don’t half size down. Go true to size. I am size 12.0 and took the recommended advice to size down to 11.5. Regret it. However, love the shoe! They are fast, light and using thin socks adds to the nimble feel. The extra half size would be better to allow more room for longer 50km+ distances. Toe box is wide. I wear Xero and Vivobarefoot shoes and don’t feel cramped in these at all. My true size would only improve this.
