Overview

Introducing the Prince Twistpower X100, a light and speedy player's racquet that rewards full swings with a great combination of spin, power and precision. At 10.8 ounces strung, the Twistpower is weighted for dedicated beginners and rising intermediate players, but it also has enough stability to tempt the savvy veteran who is in the market for a lighter option. Unlike many of its competitors in the sub 11 ounce weight class, the Twistpower X100 has uniquely good feel and pocketing. The great feel comes in part from a twisted shaft design which helps the racquet bend optimally at impact. On groundstrokes the Twistpower moves through contact with remarkable ease, making it great for whipping up power or cranking winners on the run. Control is excellent thanks in part to its 16x18 string pattern, which delivers the kind of spin-potential that brings the ball down hard.At net the Twistpower delivers impressive touch for a light racquet, and the raw speed makes it perfect for reaction volleys or springing into action when opportunity knocks. This stick also shines on serve where it explodes powerfully through contact to deliver juicy levels of spin and slices that curve hard.Ultimately, the Prince Twistpower X100 is an impressive addition to the Prince racquet line-up. The combination of speed, spin, power and precision makes this an obvious choice for any intermediate player who is looking for a user-friendly modern player's racquet.

Comments: I love my new Prince Twistpower X100. I have been a Prince user for my entire career and this new line lives up to my expectations. However, I recommend buying the racket unstrung due to Tennis Warehouse not stringing them well. Whenever I got mine in brand new, the strings were in unplayable condition and I had to immediately get it restrung.

Comments: love my Prince Twistpower. It brings more power & control to my shots. I got the 1/4 grip. I just wish that it came in a 1/8 grip.

Comments: I bought this racquet for my son, who has always played with a Prince racquet. He likes the feel and power of the racquet. He tried several of the new Prince racquets, and this was by far his favorite.

Comments: This racquet is great for me as I like to hit with a lot of topspin and I take big cuts at the ball. I'm a 4.0 player and was looking for lighter racquet than my Yonex DR98 but wanted more power. I also demoed the Head Gravity MP, Gravity Tour, Speed MP and Yonex Vcore Pro 100 and this racket matched the power of the Speed MP and was even lighter than the Head Gravity MP so I felt like I could maneuver it very well for volleys. For groundstrokes, I could swing the racket almost as fast as I could with my semi-western forehand and the ball would stay in with enough topspin. Overall, I enjoyed the TwistPower X100 though I may put some lead tape in the throat for more stability.

Comments: he Prince Twistpower is one of the best new frames on the market today. Its playability and ease make it one of the most user-friendly racquets I've played with in a long time. A solid frame with so much feel. Prince is putting out the best product on the market. I highly recommend it!

Comments: The racquet is very good, it delivered nice power with plenty of speed and control. I found this racquet to work best at hitting winners from the baseline, but due to its light weight, it can be used anywhere for quick points. It's also extremely unique in its design and stands out with the dark coloring and twisted cross section. The only issue that I have is that I feel it was a little overpriced coming in at $250 when I bought it.

Comments: Love this racquet. I've played with it once and it was great. I have another Prince racquet with a bigger head than I am used to playing with, but am fully committed on this racquet. It's beautiful and streamlined.

Comments: TO recommended the Twistpower for a playtest; after playing several matches with it, I bought it. I've now played quite a few singles matches against young, topspin hitting, mostly baseline players as well as a number of doubles matches with clever, all-court players. The racquet provides the extra power, maneuverability, and forgiveness that I need, at 68 years old. And yet the racquet offers enough control to hit dinks, drops, and lobs with good spin. Some of TW's in-house reviewers commented that the Twistpower lacks a bit of plow-through, but I've noticed no meaningful deficiency. The Twistpower gives me renewed confidence to play inside the baseline and look to attack, knowing that I have a much better chance to get the racquet on just about any return ball and put away weak ones. As TW recommended, my Twistpower is strung at 52 pounds with Prince Premier Control 16, which plays well. I use a vibration dampener, which improves the feel of the racquet a bit. By the way, the Twistpower replaced my Babolat Pure Strike Project One-Seven, a superb racquet which I played with for several years until it just became too heavy, as I aged, to maneuver or swing as quickly.
