Comments: While I enjoy good ball pocketing just as much as anybody, I like to be the one in control of where it goes once leaving the pocket. Not these strings. Confidential does in fact provide nice pocketing; the problem is the erratic response that follows.

Comments: I've been using the Solinco Confidential for about two years now! If you're a fan of Tour Bite and Hyper-G you should definitely give this string a try! It has the same characteristics like Tour Bite and Hyper-G, although it holds tension much better than Hyper-G and it also has great spin, kind of like a Black Code 4S. Overall this is a great string and I would recommend to any 4.5 and 5.0 level players out there!

Comments: Too muted, no ball feel. Decent spin, but it could be better with more snapback. Control is decent, but not good enough in anything with a larger head size. I've tried this in three different racquets all 16x19 at 45, 55, and 60 pounds. At 45 pounds it was an absolute rocket launcher sending everything long with zero control. 60 pounds was better, but I think this might be best suited for 18x20 racquets

Comments: This company does not know how to miss. I am continually amazed at Solinco's rise to the top of the string manufacturing industry in less than a decade of anyone knowing the name of this company. Confidential 16L is an awesome co-poly. I love the sharp, square profile of Tour Bite and Hyper-G, and have been convinced for the last two years that Hyper-G is the best co-poly ever made for countless reasons more than the shape. This gave me pause and few expectations about the gear- shaped Confidential, though I still wanted to at least try it. So glad I did. I am blown away by the feel and control of this string. I strung a full bed at 52 and 50 pounds in a Pure Strike 18x20 and it is playing so solid. Tension maintenance is as good as any co-poly string I have tried, and I've tried hundreds. One thing I do regret though is initially stringing Confidential in a hybrid set-up with synthetic crosses fearing the legend of its rigidity. That actually felt bad, though. Full bed of this is definitely the way to go. Still love Hyper-G, but I would conclude that Confidential plays better than Tour Bite and Hyper-G in dense patterns. I just wish it were orange. It will never have an identity with its drab anthracite hue, and I suspect that will stunt its popularity or recognition. Hyper-G is practically synonymous with the color green.

Comments: Hit with this string for the first time and the feel, control, and ball pocketing is outstanding. It is on the low end for power, but if you are a hard hitter looking for a control and plenty of spin and feel, give this a try. I play with the Yonex VCORE 98 and strung several racquets at 51 pounds. I am also using this string in a hybrid set up, but ultimately think a full bed of this string is the way to go. As long as the string does not go dead after a few hitting sessions, this is a winner and one of the best on the market.

Comments: I played with the 1.25mm Confidential twice. The first time I strung a full bed in my Pro Staff 97 at 48 pounds. It felt very stiff and jarring with very little ball pocketing and very little power. I didn't care for it at all, so the next time I played with it I strung it up at 46 pounds. Again, same thing, it felt very stiff with almost no ball pocketing and power to speak of. It took about two hours before the string opened up and started to feel decent and provide a little ball pocketing and power. I'm not sure I'm going to play with this stuff anymore. In my opinion, this is just a darker colored Tour Bite. Very stiff and low powered. Compared to ALU Power, this string is junk in my opinion.

Comments: I've also playtested the Confidential Solinco string awhile ago and I have to say it's awesome. It's right between Tour Bite which is my second favorite string, but slightly softer than Tour Bite. The spin potential is right between Black Code 4S, which is my number one string that I've been using for five years. Overall a great string from Solinco and I also highly recommend giving it a try.

Comments: I just picked up a set of the 16L today and it feels really good. I've always switched between Hyper-G and Tour Bite because of the differences between the two worked for certain days and elements. Tour Bite gave me the power and depth, but less spin. Hyper-G gave me the spin and bite, but less power. I've always wanted something in between the two and Confidential is it. I hybrid it with a Multifilament on the mains, and Confidential on the crosses at 54 and 51 pounds. I definitely recommend this string if you've been in between the Hyper-G and Tour Bite.
