Comments: Excruciatingly painful shoe. Must have skinny feet. I was really excited about the Torrent after hearing good reviews and reading the specs. But this was worse than wearing a pair of stilettos. The cushion was great. But the toe box is tiny. I felt it rubbing on my pinky toes out of the box, but took it for a short spin anyway. My pinky and "ring finger" toes went numb about .75 miles in. The rest of my toes were numb by 1.5 miles in. I cut the run short and when I took off my shoes, my toes were stacked on each other. I really wanted to love this shoe. I think if you have narrow feet you will. But if you prefer a normal or a wide toe box, steer clear!

Comments: I love these shoes! I actually ordered an 8.5 at first thinking I should size up half a size, but they were too big. Luckily, I found out that Running Warehouse has a 90 day no sweat return policy!! Even if you have worn them already. I was so stoked about that, sent back the 8.5 for an 8 & they shipped those out to me very fast! The 8s fit perfectly & they are comfortable & amazing for hiking & trail running, don't even have to break them in much. All colorways are cute too. Definitely recommend these shoes!

Comments: I used the shoes this weekend on hikes in Moab and they were great from the first time I put them on. They were true to size and would recommend them to anyone.

Comments: Loving these shoes so far. I'm training for a half marathon in the fall, and running mostly on grassy/muddy trails. The Torrents have great grab, even when it's mucky and wet out there, and the laces stay in place. There's a little less forefoot cushioning in these as compared to the Bondis I run in on the pavement, but it's fine--grass and dirt are much easier on the bones than pavement.

Comments: First pair of Torrent shoes, comfortable and offers good support but much lighter than my past trail runners. Good grip on various terrains. Bought 1 size larger than my shoe size, not narrow , enough toe wiggle room without foot slipping in shoe. May need to put my insole inserts like I do with my road trainers. So far, I like it and definitely upgrade/improvement from my previous trail running shoes.

Comments: Second pair of Torrents, ran my first ultra 50 mile race in them and not even a hot spot, will definitely recommend it!

Comments: I've worn Torrents since they first came out. Whatever Hoka did to the new model ruined the shoe for me. I have wide feet and like a grippy shoe - worked for years, but the changes they made make the shoe unbearable to run in without getting pain in my feet. Also, THEY WEAR OUT SO MUCH FASTER than the first model. After 25ish miles the tread is already incredibly worn out. Tried 2 pairs of the new model and my review is the same. Switching shoes. Argh!

Comments: These shoes look awesome. Unfortunately, they were not the right fit for me and I returned them. I have a high arch and Nikes are the best fit for me. I only wore them inside the house so Running Warehouse was great about letting me return them for a full refund. They even paid the return shipping.

Comments: These are my 3rd pair of Torrents and they do not disappoint. I am a Saturday long trail runner (roadrunner during the week and use Clifton Edges for that)on a mixture of steep and rolling hills terrain which can sometimes be muddy(not lately). I like that I can trust these shoes to not slip and give my toes the wiggle room they need while not overly cushioned. A perfect combo for me!

Comments: As an avid hiker in Arizona I purchased these shoes for my girlfriend. I have tried every brand of hiking shoes on the market. I purchased these for her as I told her this brand is hands down the best shoe I've put on my feet. After her trying them out, she agreed with me. I doubt either one of us every put on another brand of hiking shoe. Hoka design and comfort level is on another scale...

Comments: I love these shoes. We live by the forest and the vibram soles are perfect for the loose dirt and volcanic rocks. I have been using the shoes to run in the snow and add traction spikes when it is icy! They are light weight and with wool socks allow me to run the bike trails and roads in the plowed snow/ice and still keep my feet warm.

Comments: I absolutely love my Hoka shoes. So much so that I ordered another pair and have highly recommended Hoka for those who have problems with their feet.

Comments: These are great shoes! I was initially skeptical, as I have very high arches and worried there would not be enough arch support, but it has not been an issue as of yet. I also supinate, and burn through the outer edges of most soles pretty quickly. These soles feel substantial and sturdy, even on hills. I did have to go a half size down from my normal running shoe size, and they fit well.

Comments: Absolutely love Hokas!!
I am in the medical field so I am on my feet 12 hours a day and thanks to my Hokas my feet never feel tired. I am also a runner currently training for my first 200 mile race so I run 7 days a week, I switch from my Speedgoats, Evo Mafate to Torrents depending on the miles I have to put in that day.
I been using Hokas for 2 years now and since I switched I have not had any blisters, missing toe nails or any more feet problems!

Comments: I've wanted shoes for a few years now and I absolutely love them. Lightweight, great traction, it locks my foot in so I don't get the dreaded toe smash.

Comments: The first edition of the Torrents are my go-to for all trails, all terrains, technical trails to smooth trails and all distances up to 50 Mile race. I was very excited to try the Torrents 2 and when they arrived they felt great. However on my first trail run with them going down hill was extremely painful as my toes kept getting jammed into the toe box and each time my foot struck the ground it felt like my forward movement was being stopped. After the run I checked the sole of the Torrent 2 against the sole of the original Torrents and sure enough, they changed the direction of the heel tread to be facing backwards instead of forward like the first edition. As a result going down hill when my heels striked the ground the shoe was ultimately stopping my smooth forward movement and jolting my toes into the toe box. I'm returning these right away and buying more of the original Torrents in case they decide not to make the original sole version again.

Comments: Love the shoe, the fit, the color, the comfort. From the first time I put them on, they were comfortable, just like all of the HOKA shoes I have purchased. I wear a 10- 10.5 in women's, so I ordered a size 11 and it fits great, and the toe box is large enough that my toes don't feel crowded. I use to be an ultra-runner and just recently dialed down my miles to under 10, and this is still the best shoe I have ever worn. Lots of compliments on the look and color too! I may need to order another pair.
