Comments: I'm so happy Adidas is making this shoe wider in the forefoot area, and in almost all white! Most shoes these days are too narrow and have no arch support (If you need a less wide shoe, Adidas has many others to choose from). I use Thorlo tennis socks with these shoes and it's heavenly! I also love the semi-high arch support which is crucial and very much needed in shoes, period! Hard to find good arch support these days. If you play a lot of tennis, or are on your feet all day, arch support is needed to avoid plantar fasciitis foot problems. I also put Spenco Max Insoles in. I am a high level singles player playing three days a week. I bought four pairs and am going to buy more when they go on sale because they are a bit expensive, but I don't see other options as good on the market right now for wider feet. I also had to size down by a half size. These shoes look great, too! I hope this review helps you.

Comments: I am a 64 year old, 5.0 level player that used Barricades since their release. I was very hesitant to switch to the SoleCourt Boost because of the various opinions in the reviews I read. Specifically I was concerned about the wider fit and weight, so I tried other models in the adidas line as well as other brands. None of them worked for me! Some left my toes and feet bleeding and others gave me heel pain. I spoke to the shoe experts at TO and decided to give those shoes a try. I have to say I am extremely pleased with my purchase. They are very comfortable and play and feel a lot lighter than their stated weight. I am able to move around the court quickly, aggressively and without any pain or discomfort, as the shoes are very well cushioned. The shoes are very stable and I am able to change directions easily and without any issues. I would like to note that I tried using an orthotic insert before I got on the court, but the shoes felt very different and not as comfortable so I switched to the original insert and glad I did so.There are a lot of opinions about this shoes and it is wise that you are reading the reviews to determine whether these shoes are for you. The best advice I can provide is to try them for yourself and do not rely solely on reviews. Everybody's feet are different and some will love the shoes while others might not. The varied reviews bear that out. Ultimately the TW review was spot-on.

Comments: Middle-aged 5.0, all-court player who has been loyal to the Barricade line for more than 15 years and have owned dozens of lines since the III. Reluctantly tried these shoes as Barricades have become scarce to find, until the release of the 18. If you're looking for a Barricade substitute, these are not the shoes. Initially, they are quite comfortable with no break-in, but it is clear early on that these shoes do not have the stability level of the Barricades. Multiple hours of court time later, the features and benefits of these shoes lose their advantage. The shoes seem to feel heavier as time progresses. The forefront cushion is a disappointment. While I wouldn't consider these shoes stylish, there is nothing remarkable about their cosmetic design, in fact, compared to previous Barricade offerings, these shoes look boring. It could be worse, could have bought and been stuck with the Stycon's

Comments: Arguably the most comfortable wide tennis shoes I've ever used. This version seems to have a knit upper forefoot, which is another nice thing to have.

Comments: If you are heavy, the tire tread soles grip the ground and hurt your knees through the rotation. I don't know who approved these soles over the circles at the balls of the foot, but it's disappointing.

Comments: I think that this on paper is a fabulous shoe, however the sizing issues are extremely frustrating. I have worn a size 11.5 in Barricades my whole life, and after sizing down to 11 and wearing two pairs of socks I still feel like I have a little too much room, which is frankly embarrassing for adidas. Sizing issues aside though I do really enjoy this shoe.

Comments: I finally found the wide shoes that I had been looking for for a long time. I was a long time New Balance fan; however, in the last several years I noticed that the New Balance shoes size 9.5 4E are now very tight. These shoes fit me perfectly so I'm ordering several more for back up.

Comments: Agree with most reviews, the shoes are quite wide. The durability is great, but after that is when these shoes start to fall off. There is a seam on the inside of the shoe, and if I don't wear thick socks then I get a blister the size of a quarter. Also due to the wider fit and the laces, heel lockdown is not superb. The cushioning is subpar as well, the heel cushioning is nice, but there is zero cushioning in the forefoot. Overall this shoe is okay. Also agree with Stefan, the outsole starts slightly separating from the boost on the outer side of the shoe..

Comments: This shoe is very heavy. I love adidas court shoes, but could not wear this one. Very stiff and the inside of the shoe rubbed blisters on the top of my feet in less than two hours. They are a little big, too. I'll stick with adidas, but not a good shoe for me. I teach tennis and play tennis, but not in these.
From: Ann, 1/6/20

Comments: It feels comfortable. The toe box is nice and wide. I play three or four times a week and find the shoes pull my socks down, and give me bad blisters in the back of my feet. It also roughed against my ankles.

Comments: I have always loved adidas shoes. I have bought several pairs from you, and others. These felt too big, I'm always a size 9.5. I don't like the new design either and they were heavy.
From: Cat, 12/16/19

Comments: Very comfortable right out of the box with great support being provided. I feel that this shoe is a very good step up from the Barricade range and will continue to buy and use them. Good sole longevity and the upper has held firm. All around a great shoe.
From: Thierry, 11/1/19

Comments: These shoes run a little big and they are wide. I normally wear a 9.5 but the 9 fits me just fine. I also have wide feet and these fit me well. Only thing is that the back is higher on these shoes and my socks tend to slide down in the back. I have found that when I wear Zella socks they won't fall down. They are very comfortable on the court.
From: Nicole, 10/2/19

Comments: Worked well on the court, thank you.
From: Marina, 9/28/19

Comments: Comfortable, true to size, and the toe box is nice and wide. However, the side of the shoes come up and rub on the bones of my ankle. Plan on some break-in time.
From: Barbara, 9/6/19

Comments: It's weird, the inside was so rough it pulled my socks down immediately with my first step. It's like a really rough, grippy interior it wouldn't keep my sock on my heel. I've never had a shoe do this at all. The inside was so rough it would catch your finger if you rubbed against it. Other than that they were stiff but wide which was good for me.
From: Kelly, 8/7/19

Comments: Not comfortable. So much structure that they are are stiff and very hard to bend.
From: Monique, 8/6/19

Comments: My daughter has worn these shoes for a month and the soles are already separating from the shoe. They have been comfortable and supportive, but it is frustrating that they are already falling apart. She does play almost daily clinics and tournaments, but they should last longer than a month.
From: Brenda, 7/26/19

Comments: I took a chance on these as a replacement to the Stella Barricade Boost and they are not even close. First, these are too big and I sized a half a size down. They are a bit stiff, but what got me is how much they cut into my ankle. I tested them in my living room and I can't even imagine playing on court with them trying to slide through a shot.
From: Kristy, 7/1/19

Comments: I like these shoes. They are wide which I like and are really comfortable with no break in. They feel really stable as well. I did size down, I normally wear an 8.5 to a 9 and ordered those sizes first, but they were too big. I put an insert in them and the smaller size was plenty roomy. They feel light to me, but I normally wear a men's 2017 Barricade, which feels bulkier than these. The best women's shoe I have found in years, if you have a wider forefoot, I highly recommend them. So far I've only tried them in singles on hard courts, but the bottom looks like it would be okay for clay as well.
From: Carolyn, 4/28/19

Comments: I am a recreational player. I play singles and doubles and like to be able to move freely and quickly to cover as much court as I can. I have previously worn the Adizero Ubersonic and sized down a half size from my normal 8 to a 7.5 in those. After enjoying them and wearing them out I decided to try these and ordered the same size. I noticed right away that the Solecourt Boost seemed much bulkier, but I knew the Adizero was a really streamlined shoe so this was to be expected. After 2-3 wears I have realized the SoleCourt Boost definitely runs big in addition to being a bulkier shoe. The cushioning is really nice and comfortable, but you definitely give up something to get that in return. If you aren't married to the idea of a very light shoe this would be worth a try, but I would order a full size down from your usual. In retrospect I would need a 7 in this shoe as opposed to my usual size 8. As usual TW customer support is super.

Comments: I have been wearing Barricade Boost shoes for the last year and thought I would try this shoe since it was supposed to be improved. It feels much heavier and bulky. The bootie fit is too high for no show socks and it is too tight in the midsole while also being too loose in the toe bed. I am thoroughly disappointed, especially with the higher price tag.
