Polyester - Control, Spin & Durability

Polyester tennis strings are synonymous with the explosive mechanics of the modern tennis era. Although too stiff and underpowered for beginners, polyester monofilaments give experienced players the needed control to maximise stroke speed, resulting in viscious levels of pace and spin. What's in a gauge?

Solinco’s two most popular polyester strings, Tour Bite & Hyper-G, come in an unprecedented range of gauges (from an utra thin 1.05mm to a thick 1.30mm). This gives you maximum latitude to fine-tune the playability of your string bed. For more durability and control, we recommend a thicker gauge. For a little more feel or a higher shot trajectory (easier net clearance and depth), try a thinner gauge. Here is one of our favourite thin gauges.

Some like it soft

For experienced players who want the undeniable benefits of polyester but could use a slightly more forgiving feel, Solinco has softer polyester options. In addition to being great for those transitioning into the world of polyester, these softer options are ideal for the poly veteran who wants a little more comfort.
